Director's Message 2020-2021
Greetings, everyone!
It is a brand-new season for Georgina Paranormal! What a time, though. With the world right in the middle of a pandemic, things are not quite the same yet still we move forward. We have had to cancel our public paranormal meetings, which is such a sad thing for the team because we really enjoy having the chance to gather together with the public, talking about all things paranormal! Hopefully, in the not too distant future, we will still be able to have regular bi-monthly meetings, and we are so grateful to Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home in Sutton for allowing us the opportunity to once again utilize their beautiful Reception Room for these gatherings. We will, as always, keep you up to date on when our meetings will happen – IF they will happen – as well as if any public walkabouts are planned. For now, things will be quiet as we all deal with this disease; however, as soon as we are able, we will be back at it with fervour!
This Halloween will be a strange one indeed for the GPS. Usually, we are busy with the Old Town Hall investigations in Newmarket, and with other events in and around Georgina. Though this year is rather odd, we are still looking forward to the cool weather and the spooky vibes of the season. We are also busy trying to plan things to do once protocols lift, and we promise that there will be interesting opportunities to visit local haunts with you all.
Even though Covid-19 has stopped our in-person investigations, the GPS has been busy! We continue to receive messages via our Facebook page as well as email, and we encourage you to get in touch with us at any time if you have any situations, issues, questions, or if you just want to bounce something off of us, or need our opinion on anything that’s happening. We are and will continue to be here for YOU.
We also encourage you to share your stories with us. We would love to hear about your experiences and, if you are willing, we would love to publish them here on our website for others to read. We have always felt that the sharing of experiences is especially important because it allows others to understand that they are NOT ALONE. Often, people do feel alone when they experience the paranormal – they even sometimes feel that they may be “going crazy”. Reading about others’ experiences can validate their own, which reinforces the notion that paranormal issues DO happen, and that they DO exist because others have them too. And other people may even have similar experiences. There is much power in the sharing of information. Please email us or message us if you feel you would like to relate your experiences at any time.
The team is excited to begin another year of paranormal sleuthing! With Covid-19 protocols in place, we will be able to safely conduct outside investigations if necessary, and we are always at the other end of the keyboard, willing to read and respond to your queries and concerns. Please do not hesitate to contact us. We love hearing from you!
I just wanted to shout out to my amazing GPS team. Chris, my Assistant Director, continues to be a wonderful support to myself and the whole team. Her wisdom and clairvoyance have been a constant source of strength and light to us all. Deb, our investigator and research guru, is such a joy to work with! Her tenacity and quiet brilliance are such an inspiration. Sherry, our investigator and publicity/PR person extraordinaire, is equally joyous to work with. She has a positivity without compare and a drive to learn that I admire every single day. Robin, our investigator and tech/webmaster, is a true empath and an extremely talented wordsmith. Her ability to look at things differently and with such open-mindedness is something that we all love and appreciate. She will be taking a step back from active investigations this year, but will continue to work behind the scenes, ensuring that our website is up to date and being there for us every step of the way. My incredible team inspires me, and the GPS would not be who we are without each of them and their extraordinary talents. Thank you, team, for making things so wonderful and interesting.
Thank you, our followers and the public, for your support, for your stories, for your presence. Please continue to follow and like us on Facebook, on Twitter, and please continue to visit our website from time to time. We will post updates as often as possible, and we are grateful to all of you for being there and showing your support for what we do in a myriad of ways. We are so very appreciative of your kindness.
With spooky happy thanks and ghostly regards,
Lynda
